Club Use

The Club is for the use of Members, their family and guests. Members are encouraged to invite guests to enjoy the amenities at HHC with them. Other than golf, there are generally no restrictions on the number of times a guest can be invited. A person may be a golf guest for no more than five rounds during a calendar year. Guest fees are applicable and guest privileges are extended only when the guest is accompanied by the host Member.

The parameters listed in this section are for ages 7 and older and outline all outlets and areas that encompass the 177 acres of Happy Hollow Club. They are broken down into three sections: The Main Clubhouse, Activity Center (pool, fitness, tennis, and 1907 Langford’s), and the Golf Course. DRESS CODE - MAIN CLUBHOUSE: Starlight Grille, The Pub, Cryroom, Ladies Card Room, The Den, The Turn, Library, Wine Cellar, and all Banquet areas (does not include Clubhouse Fitness Center)

Acceptable Attire (Men) Slacks, shorts, collared shirts, turtlenecks, or blade-collar necks are the standard required attire. Shirts are required to be tucked into slacks or shorts at all times. Well-kept denim will be permitted in all areas of the Clubhouse (dirty, tattered, worn, ripped, or faded denim is not permitted).

 Unacceptable Attire (Men)  Cargo pants/shorts, t-shirts with or without printed advertisements, sports team jerseys, fitness attire, swim attire, and jeans which are dirty, tattered, worn, ripped, or faded are not acceptable anywhere in the Clubhouse*. Hats and visors are not allowed indoors*.

Acceptable Attire (Women)  Slacks, shorts, capris, skirts or skorts (must cover at least half of thigh), sleeveless blouses (must at least meet the top of the waistband), collared shirts, turtlenecks, or blade-collar necks are the standard required dress. Well-kept denim will be permitted in all areas of the Clubhouse (dirty, tattered, worn, ripped, or faded denim is not permitted).

 Unacceptable Attire (Women) Tube tops, tank tops, midriff attire, and t-shirts with or without printed advertisements, cargo shorts or pants, short shorts, cutoff shorts (all shorts, skirts or dresses must cover at least half the thigh), fitness attire, swim attire and jeans which are dirty, tattered, worn, ripped, or faded are not acceptable anywhere in the Clubhouse*.

Notable Exceptions  Caps and Visors are allowed with the above criteria in the following areas: Outdoor patio seating of the Starlight Grille, outdoor patio seating on the south-side of Cryroom, The Turn, Cryroom, and Ladies Card Room.Additionally, any medical condition that might require the wearing of a hat or visor will be exempt in ALL areas.Main Clubhouse Fitness Center Attire - Workout attire is permissible to/from vehicle and to/from locker rooms only.

If you are looking for a dining experience but are not in compliance with the main Clubhouse dress code, we have a place for you at our 1907 Langford’s restaurant located in the family-friendly Activity Center. DRESS CODE - ACTIVITY CENTER (TENNIS, FITNESS, POOL, AND 1907 LANGFORD’S): The entire Activity Center is meant to be extremely casual in nature. This is a family-friendly Club and any clothing or visible tattoos should be appropriate for eyes of all ages.

 
Items such as workout attire, tennis attire, sport uniforms, swim attire (all with or without caps and visors) are acceptable with these indicated caveats: 1907 Langford’s (outdoor firepits), and Golf/Entertainment Simulator Room: Shirts and cover-ups in addition to footwear must be worn to occupy and obtain service. Children (16 and younger) must be accompanied by an adult to sit at the firepits. Tennis & Pickleball Courts: Shirts and appropriate tennis attire must be worn. Non-marking shoes must be worn (consult with the Director of Tennis for more information). Fitness Center (Clubhouse and Activity Center): Non-marking soled shoes are only allowed in the Fitness Studio. Appropriate, non-offensive fitness attire is expected. Shirt and shoes required at all times. Special clothing and/or attire might be required for specific fitness classes i.e. Yoga or SPIN classes (consult with the Director of Fitness for more information). Pool Deck, Sport Court, and Patio: Chosen swimwear should be visibly appropriate for members of all ages.


DRESS CODE - GOLF COURSE AND PRACTICE FACILITY: Parking lot, practice facilities, putting greens, golf course, fishing ponds, and The Den

Acceptable Attire (Men) Shirts with collars (“mock” collars are acceptable) and sleeves must be worn at all times. Shirts must always be tucked in. Slacks or shorts are permissible. Hats and visors must be worn in the correct, forward-facing direction.

 Unacceptable Attire (Men)  No cargo shorts or pants, tank tops, t-shirts, cutoff pants/shorts, sweatpants, denim, sport jerseys, athletic shorts, or bathing suits.

 Acceptable Attire (Women)  Golf-specific blouses and dresses, racerback polo shirts with a collar, skirts, skorts and shorts must be an acceptable/appropriate length to cover the posterior, slacks, and tights under skirts can be worn.

Unacceptable Attire (Women)  Tank tops, halter tops, tube tops, t-shirts, denim, bathing suits, or any bottom-length garment that isn’t an acceptable/appropriate length to cover the posterior. Capris, leggings, or any other compression apparel may be worn as long as the posterior is covered by shirts, skirts, skorts, or shorts that appropriately cover the posterior.

Notable Exceptions  During themed related events, other attire may be acceptable (consult with the Director of Golf for more information).Golf attire is STILL required while fishing at any of the Happy Hollow fishing ponds. Items sold at the Den and the Baseline are not always acceptable within the HHC Dress Code Regulations and should not be assumed appropriate for all areas of the Club based on purchase location.
